# Cookie policy

_We set no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. This page explains the little browser storage that is used and how to remove it._

## What cookies are

Read alongside the [privacy policy](https://www.test-webcamp.com/privacy.html), which covers everything that is not storage. A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Related technologies such as local storage do a similar job without being cookies in the strict sense. Both are covered here.

Cookies are not inherently a privacy problem. The difficulty is the advertising industry's use of them to follow people between unrelated websites. We do not do that.

## What this site uses

**We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers and no fingerprinting scripts.** Analytics is the only optional item, and it does not run until you allow it.

## Camera permission is not a cookie

Worth separating, because people often conflate the two. When you allow camera or microphone access, that decision is recorded by **your browser**, not by us, and not in a cookie. It applies only to this site.

You can withdraw it at any moment from the camera or lock icon in your address bar, and it ends automatically when you close the tab. Clearing cookies does not necessarily clear site permissions; they are managed separately in your browser's site settings.

## Third parties

**Fonts and other assets are self-hosted.** Loading a page here makes no request to any other domain, so no third party sees your IP address or has an opportunity to set anything. Open your browser's network tab and reload: every request goes to this site.

**Analytics.** Our analytics provider processes aggregate page view data and does not track you across other websites.

We do not embed social media widgets, comment systems, advertising scripts or video players, all of which are common sources of third-party cookies.

## Your consent choice

When you first visit, we ask whether you are willing to allow analytics. Until you answer, **no analytics runs at all**. Strictly necessary storage, which only remembers your choice and any settings you pick, works either way because the site cannot function sensibly without it.

Accepting and rejecting are a single click each and are given equal prominence. Nothing is pre-ticked. Declining does not reduce your access to any part of this site.

### Changing your mind

Use the **Cookie settings** link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, which is a requirement rather than a courtesy. When you withdraw, the page reloads so that nothing continues reporting.

Your choice is stored on your own device and is remembered for up to twelve months, after which we ask again.

## How to control storage

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data.

1. **Chrome and Edge** — Settings, Privacy and security, Third-party cookies and Site settings.
2. **Firefox** — Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data.
3. **Safari** — Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
4. **Any browser** — a private or incognito window discards all site storage when closed.

Blocking storage from this site will not stop any test working. At most you will lose a remembered preference, and we will ask about analytics again on your next visit.

## Changes

If we ever introduce cookies that require consent, we will ask before setting them and update this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
