Summary
What matters most. Camera and microphone streams are processed entirely by your browser and are never transmitted to us. We hold no account data because there are no accounts. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
This policy explains what limited information we do handle, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies to www.test-webcamp.com and all pages on it.

Camera and microphone data
We do not receive, record, store, transmit or process your video or audio. When you start a test, your browser opens the device using its own getUserMedia interface and renders the stream directly on the page. The data path runs from your hardware to your browser to your screen. It never touches a network.
There is no server-side component capable of receiving media, so this is a structural property of the site rather than a promise about our conduct.
Snapshots and recordings created by the camera and recorder tools are held in your browser's memory and written to your device only when you choose to download them. Closing or reloading the tab discards them permanently.

What we do collect
Server logs
Our web server records standard request information: the URL requested, date and time, HTTP status code, referring page, your browser's user agent string, and your IP address. Every web server records this by default. We use it to keep the site running and to investigate abuse and faults.
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It does not set cookies that identify you across websites, does not build an advertising profile, and does not follow you beyond this domain. Figures are aggregate.
Local preferences
Small preferences you set, such as whether the camera preview is mirrored, may be stored in your own browser. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. Our cookie policy covers this in more detail.
Email you send us
If you write to us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to deal with it, and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference.
Why we are allowed to process it
For visitors in the UK, EU and other regions with similar law, our legal bases are:

We do not rely on consent for the above because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, we will ask first.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained for a limited period, then deleted. Analytics data is aggregate and holds no personal identifiers. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful and then removed.
Because there are no accounts, there is no ongoing profile that persists between your visits.
Who else is involved
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertising networks.
A small number of service providers necessarily handle requests on our behalf:
- Our hosting provider, which serves the pages and generates the server logs described above.
- Our analytics provider, which processes aggregate page view data.
- No one else. Typefaces, stylesheets, scripts and images are all served from this domain. Your browser contacts no third party when you load a page here, which you can confirm in the network tab of your browser's developer tools.
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid legal order.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where that happens and your local law requires it, transfers are made under appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to receive it in a portable form.
In practice we hold very little that could identify you: there are no accounts and no profiles. In most cases the only record is a server log entry tied to an IP address, which we generally cannot connect to a person without additional information from you.
To make a request, email contact@test-webcamp.com with enough detail to identify the relevant records. We will respond within the period your local law requires.
If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises their rights.
Children
This site is a general purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. This is not merely good practice here: browsers refuse camera and microphone access entirely on insecure connections, so the encrypted connection is a precondition for the tests working at all.
Because we hold no accounts, passwords or media, there is no store of sensitive personal data to be breached.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Where a change is material we will note it on the homepage so returning visitors are not caught out.
