Acceptance
By using www.test-webcamp.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We suggest reading them alongside our privacy policy and disclaimer, which form part of the same agreement.
What the service is
Webcamp provides free, browser-based diagnostic tools for cameras, microphones, speakers, screens, keyboards and mice, together with written troubleshooting guides.
The tools run entirely on your own device. There is no account, no registration, no subscription and no payment. Nothing you test is uploaded to us.
Eligibility
The site is intended for general use and is not directed at children under 13. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
Acceptable use
You may use the site for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial, including testing equipment at work or before a client call. You do not need our permission for ordinary use.
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system.
- Interfere with the site's operation, including through automated request flooding, denial of service, or attempts to introduce malicious code.
- Scrape or systematically copy the site's content for republication.
- Use the site to record or capture any person without their knowledge and consent, where the law requires it.
- Remove, obscure or alter any attribution or notice on the site.
- Use the site in any way that breaks the law in your jurisdiction.
On recording. The recorder and snapshot tools operate on your own device using your own camera. You are responsible for ensuring that anything you capture complies with the consent and privacy laws that apply where you are. Recording laws differ significantly between countries and between states.
Intellectual property
The text, design, code and graphics on this site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for your own use, and link to them freely.
You may not republish substantial portions of our written guides as your own, or reproduce the site's design or code, without permission. If you want to quote or reference a page, a link and normal attribution are welcome.
Product names, operating systems and applications mentioned in our guides are trademarks of their respective owners. Our use of them is descriptive only and implies no affiliation or endorsement. See the disclaimer.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or that its results will be accurate for your particular hardware. Browsers, drivers and operating systems change frequently and can affect how the tests behave.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site.
This includes any loss or damage arising from following a troubleshooting guide, including changes made to system settings, drivers, firmware or hardware. See the disclaimer for detail.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded in [COUNTRY / STATE].
Third-party links
Our guides link to third-party sites such as manufacturer support pages and software vendors. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice. We may also update these terms. Where changes are material we will note it on the site, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
Since there are no accounts, there is nothing to terminate on your side: you may simply stop using the site. We reserve the right to block access from any source that breaches the acceptable use section above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY / STATE], and the courts of [COUNTRY / STATE] have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
Severability and entire agreement
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
These terms, together with the privacy policy, cookie policy, disclaimer and disclosure, form the entire agreement between us regarding the site.
